Camp Tanako - Camps - Older Elementary II

This year’s curriculum for our elementary camps is “Secrets of the Kingdom.” It is published by New Earth Christian Resources for the Outdoors and is written by folks involved in Christian education in several denominations, including United Methodist.

“Secrets of the Kingdom” focuses on the Parables of Jesus and what is means to live in His kingdom. Campers will be encouraged to explore the different parables and their meaning for our lives today, through small group sessions and worship services.

During the evenings, campers also get to participate in all-camp activities, such as pool parties, scavenger hunts, crazy games, talent shows, water games, and carnivals. We’ll have a campfire at some time during the session, and everyone gets to choose which recreation activities they want to participate in, such as swimming, arts & crafts, fishing, archery, big field games, and hiking.

Canoeing, kayaking, and horseback riding are available for campers 5th grade and up.
