Horseback Riding

Tanako offers a horseback-riding program in cooperation with Lake Catherine Riding Stables. This fine facility is located just a short five minute bus ride from Tanako at Lake Catherine State Park. Participation in this recreational opportunity is an option for all campers in grades 5-12 during the summer. Due to scheduling, horseback riding is not offered during specialty camps, such as Golf and Fishing. In order to keep costs down, only campers participating in the riding program will be charged an additional $18, which will provide one trail ride during the week. The $18 for the activity can be paid along with all other camp fees, by your camp's registration deadline. A completed waiver and permission form can be found in the confirmation packet and online (at the bottom of the Registration page). It must be signed, completed, and turned in during check-in. Riding helmets are provided and required for all participants. Closed-toe shoes with a defined heel and long pants are needed for all riders.
