The camp keeps an ongoing list of practical needs — supplies for the kitchen, classroom, lakefront, and program areas. Items ordered through the wishlist ship directly to camp and are put to immediate use.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of appreciated stock can be a tax-efficient way to support Camp Tanako. By giving stock directly rather than selling it first, you avoid capital-gains tax and may deduct the full fair-market value. IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions
If you are 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA to Camp Tanako through a Qualified Charitable Distribution. QCDs may count toward your required minimum distribution and are not included in your taxable income.
To make a QCD, contact your IRA administrator and ask them to send the distribution directly to Camp Tanako. Please also notify the camp office so we can acknowledge your gift when it arrives.

Memorial and Honor Gifts
A gift in honor or memory of someone whose life was shaped by this place is a fitting way to remember them. We will notify the family or honoree of your gift, without disclosing the amount, and send you a personal acknowledgment.
To make a memorial or honor gift, give online and select Memorials/Honor Gifts from the Fund drop-down. Please also email [email protected] with the name of the person being remembered and an address for the family or honoree, so we can send the acknowledgment. To give by check, make it payable to Camp Tanako with "Memorial" or "In Honor of [name]" on the memo line, and include a note with the family's address.

Kroger Community Rewards
If you shop at Kroger, you can support Camp Tanako through Kroger Community Rewards at no cost to you. Once you link your Kroger Plus card to Camp Tanako, a small percentage of every eligible purchase is sent to the camp at the end of each quarter.

Bequests and Planned Gifts
A bequest in your will or trust is one of the most enduring ways to support Camp Tanako. Camp Tanako maintains an endowment fund through the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas, which receives bequests and other planned gifts and ensures they are managed with care for the long-term sustenance of the ministry.
If you are considering a bequest, your attorney will want this language:
I give to Camp Tanako, Inc., an Arkansas nonprofit corporation [the sum of $______ / ______ percent of the residue of my estate / the following property: ______] to be used for its general purposes [or a specific purpose].
To discuss a planned gift in confidence, please contact the camp office.

If you have equipment, supplies, vehicles, or other items you believe could serve the camp, please contact the office before sending them. Not every donation fits our current operations, and a quick conversation helps us put what you have where it can do the most good.
