Looking to apply for a campership? The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas is offering scholarships covering 50% tuition for campers who are members of a United Methodist congregation within the state. Every summer, families ask us to make camp possible for a child whose parents can't quite cover the cost. Some are working through a hard year. Some are paying for a sibling's care. Some are single-parent households making everything stretch. None of them want their child to miss what camp could be.
A campership is a scholarship that closes the gap. It pays the registration cost for a child who has applied for help, so that no qualified camper is turned away because of money.

$700 sends one child to a week of overnight summer camp.
Other camp programs are available at lower cost. Mini Camp and Fishing Camp run $280 for three days and two nights. Summer Day Camp is $150 for a week, with an optional $25 to provide transportation from town for a family that can't get to camp on their own — a small gift that sometimes makes the difference between a child coming and a child staying home.
A gift of any size adds to the campership fund. Half-camperships, full camperships, and lead gifts that underwrite multiple campers all do the same essential work: they make sure a child who wants to be at Tanako gets to come.
